Immortalized By Relativity

When I was driving to work I decided to listen to nothing (I usually listen to comedy or music), I was thinking back in time to all those times I was riding on a school bus without music as a kid... And I got a feeling that the past still exists, even if we can't experience it anymore.

It goes along with the scientific hypothesis, that if galaxies are moving in different directions they experience different time dilatation over billions of years. So to a galaxy far away, it could be the 1950's here right now. Time is like slices, and the past and future still exist and already exist. We are just moving through it.

If this is true, it is quite comforting, because in a way we are immortalized by relativity. And our past is in stone and will always be there. The joy of our lives is never completely lost.
